Ghana coach, Otto Addo, is confident the Black Stars can exploit the Super Eagles’ weakness when both teams clash in an international friendly on Friday, March 22, in Morocco.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, Addo who hailed the Super Eagles as a defensively compact team, disclosed that the Nigerian team can also be vulnerable and that is where the Black Stars will capitalise on.
“We expect them to be very hard to break against the ball but also with the ball, which you saw at the Africa Cup of Nations, they are really good in offensive transmissions, they have fast players on the wings, tall players upfront who can hold the ball no matter who comes, with a really, really solid back chain so it’s going to be tough.
“But we know what we can do and we know how to play against such a host and even though they went to the final, they showed in some matches that they are vulnerable so anything can happen.”
Ghana will be without West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus for the game while Victor Osimhen has also pulled out of the friendly after an injury scare.
Super Eagles predicted eleven vs Ghana
Meanwhile, Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is expected to start against Ghana with Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Jamilu Collins predicted to lead the backline, Soccernet reports.
In a 4-3-3 formation, Wilfred Ndidi is expected back in the Super Eagles team alongside Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka in the midfield.
Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon are expected to keep their place in the starting eleven while Sadiq Umar is expected to take the place of Victor Osimhen in attack.
Omeruo warns Super Eagles teammates
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kenneth Omeruo has urged his teammates to go all out when they file out against Ghana on Friday.
Ahead of the showdown, the Super Eagles vice-captain stated that any game involving Nigeria and Ghana cannot be branded as a ‘friendly’.
