Nigerian Student Faces UK Departure After Exceeding Work Hours
Heartbroken Nigerian Student Told To Exit UK After Violating Work Limit

A Nigerian student in the United Kingdom has been ordered to leave the country after allegedly exceeding the permitted work hours, leaving her distraught.
In a video shared on Sabi Radio’s Instagram page, the young woman tearfully recounted the ordeal. She explained that she arrived in the UK in 2022, but tragedy struck the following year when her father who had financed her studies passed away. Unable to return home, she attended his funeral virtually.
“It’s been a hell of three years. I came in 2022 and in 2023, my dad passed away. I had to work even if I’m passing through all this. I still have to work to pay for my school fees,” she said.
After her father’s death, she began working to cover tuition, believing she remained in compliance with immigration rules. “I thought everything was fine. They didn’t listen to me. They asked me to leave the country with immediate effect. They didn’t give me chance to complete my studies,” she added.
According to her, when her student sponsorship was withdrawn, she appealed to her university to finish the course remotely but was instructed instead to depart the UK without delay.
