Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has faced ridicule after revealing that she employed IT specialists to erase her leaked adult tape from the internet and devices.
In an interview with Angie Martins of Power 105.1, Savage disclosed that the video, recorded during a previous relationship, was leaked in October 2021. She expressed concern about the potential impact on her son, Jamil, and decided to hire experts to remove it.
“My greatest fear was my son seeing the tape,” Savage said. “I contacted an IT specialist who hacked the video from the internet and everyone’s mobile devices. It’s now impossible to find, even if you had it on your phone.”
Nigerians have reacted with mockery to Savage’s admission, questioning the effectiveness of her strategy. Many have pointed out that such videos, once leaked, can spread rapidly and may not be entirely removed from the internet.
