NLC Anambra State Chairman, Sir Humphrey Nwafor Condoles Soludo Over Father’s Death

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Anambra State Chapter, Comrade (Sir) Humphrey Emeka Nwafor, has condoled with the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo over the death of his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo (Ichie Akukananwa 1).

According to reports, Pa Soludo died in the early hours of Monday,6 November 2023 at the age of 92.

Condoling the Governor, Sir Nwafor who doubles as the Chairman of NASU, Anambra State Council, urged the State’s number one citizen to take solace in the fact his late dad lived a good and rewarding life, saying that the deceased died a fulfilled man having witnessed his son emerged as the Governor and the Chief Security Officer of the densely populated state in Nigeria after Lagos.

The Labour enjoined Governor and family to guard jealously and judiciously the legacies left behind by the Patriarch, noting that he received the news with a rude shock, even as he stated that one cannot question God.

‘He gives and takes . We cannot query Him. I sympathize with the Governor and his family and also ask them to take heart. I felicitate Governor at this trying moment of his. Losing one’s parent whether father or mother is always painful.

‘On behalf of all labour and all affiliate unions I commiserate with the Governor. It is a pity that Pa Soludo has to leave at this material time.

Sir Nwafor while condoling the Governor asked to God to give the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear what he described irreparable loss. He prayed for the quick repose of Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo’s soul.
