The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kaduna, has called on students to gather on the 21st of September (today), 2022, to completely block down the Kaduna- Abuja route as a response to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The government of the state of Kaduna has published a statement in which it condemns the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) planned demonstration for Wednesday, which will involve shutting down the Kaduna- Abuja Expressway.
Meanwhile, speaker of the House Femi Gbajabiamila has stated that the legislature will do all it takes to end the impasse between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The government of Kaduna state has issued a statement condemning Wednesday’ s planned protest by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to shut down the Kaduna- Abuja Expressway.
According to Information Nigeria, State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan issued the warning in a statement on Tuesday.
Aruwan argues that the state government is not suppressing citizens’ freedom of speech, but that safety and security concerns must always come first.
