In support of Peter Obi, the contender for the Labour Party’ s (LP) presidential candidacy, Ebonyi State citizens rallied in the state’ s capital city of Abakaliki on Saturday, but unfortunately, the mob was forcibly dispersed by the state’ s police.
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has denied giving the state police command the order to use teargas on the Peter Obi Supporters.
Meanwhile, Labour Party supporters in Plateau State came out in great numbers on Saturday for the two million- man solidarity march to show their support for Mr. Peter Obi, the LP’ s presidential candidate.

According to the Nation, residents in Ebonyi State gathered in the capital city of Abakaliki on Saturday to stage one million- man match in support of Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party’ s (LP) presidential nomination. The police in the state violently dispersed the crowd.
When police stormed the Pastoral Centre in Abakaliki and used tear gas to scatter the supporters known as the Obidient movement they had gathered there to participate in the march.
On the popular Old Enugu road in the capital city on Saturday morning, the incident caused heavy traffic for both people and cars.
