Oborevwori: They Can Never Be Governor; The Facts Are There – Gbagi

The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State and a former Minister of State for Education, Kenneth Gbagi, has insisted that the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the State, Sheriff Oborevwori, and three other candidates were never qualified to run for the Office of the Governor; as he hinted that there are facts to back the claim.

Gbagi had said, “Having filed our petitions, they have replied; and all their replies seem to agree with our petitions that they were not qualified; the facts are there for everybody to see. What we are waiting for actually and truly is victory from the Tribunal as to the effect that the first, second, third, and forth candidates were not qualified, and as such they can never be Governor.”

Gbagi, who spoke during an interview on Arise Television, insisted that the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the winner of the contest, Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as two other parties were not qualified to run for the seat of the Governor of Delta State. According to him, he was the only candidate that should have been considered for the seat because he was qualified. He maintained that he had approached the Election Petition Tribunal to seek redress; and hinted that Oborevwori would not be Governor for long.

Gbagi said there are facts to back his claims. He, however, did not reveal the facts during the interview; but insisted that he would be Governor of Delta State soon.
