Oby Ezekwesili Responds To The Allegation That Not Even LP Lawmakers Have Turned Down SUVs Costing N160 Million

Former World Trade Organisation (WTO) Chairman and Minister of Education Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has responded to those claiming that not even Labour Party (LP) lawmakers in the National Assembly have refused the expensive official cars valued at N160 million.

Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, reportedly told all the lawmakers not to join the group of people who will accept the vehicles, but they disregarded his advice, according to PUNCH.

Oby Ezekwesili, in a post that she shared on her verified Twitter page on Friday said what is happening can be termed as “Undifferentiated Political Class With A Behavioral Sameness “.

She said what the statement means is that Africans are afflicted by their political class who collectively share a common dominant political culture. She said their perverse and entrenched common political culture is one that subverts the people’s common good and subordinates it to the politicians’ selfish and narrow interest.
