Presently Wike is seen as one of the undefeatable politician both in Rivers State and in his party (PDP). Wike is a wise politician who knows how to deal with issue relating to politics. During his time as govenor of Rivers State, he really gained the heart of Rivers residents. However, there is a secret about Wike that he’s someone that only goes for his plans and when he succeeded, he thinks that he can gain victory in all his doings.
During the 2023 Presidential election, Wike contested the most higher political position (president) with Atiku Abubakar (Vice President). Unfortunately to him, he lost the battle to Atiku Abubakar who became the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.
Furthernore, Wike supported Tinubu in the Presidential election because he knew that if Atiku Abubakar would have won the election, he will be dealt and in order to protect his dignity —he made all efforts to supports Tinubu.
Wike decided to give Presidential to APC (Bola Tinubu) and give PDP to Rivers State. He anticipated his plans perfectly.
Wike made his Accountant Secretary (Siminalaye Fubara) to be his successor, with him he can be protected from his crimes in the state.
Recall that Wike vow never to be a second citizens which led to the lingering between him and Atiku Abubakar.
He called the PDP Malaria and APC Cancer. But is in the Cancer that he is an FCT minister. Wike and his successor are now political enemies and it has downtrend the state economy. It has not be revealed why the two bigwigs are into political tussle for who to be in control of the state.
Their political feud has draw the attention of President Tinubu initiating the 8-point peace agenda for them to rescind their past and live as one family. But unfortunately, the feud is more escalating as the Rivers State hallowed chamber who were recognised by the court are now against Fubara.
The question is will wike be in Tinubu’s shead after 8 yrs?.
