Outgoing Edo Governor Obaseki Speaks on Facing EFCC after Tenure

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has declared his willingness to cooperate with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after his tenure ends.

The outgoing governor made the disclosure while speaking at the EdoBEST National Results-Sharing Session in Abuja.

Obaseki said that he has nothing to hide and is focused on showcasing his administration’s achievements.

“I’m not afraid of the EFCC. Why should I be? What is important is focus,” Obaseki stated. “I came into office and ignored the noise, concentrating on what I felt was important, and today you can see the results.”

He reassured that if the EFCC requires his presence, he will “hand myself over” without hesitation.
