The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has ordered the prosecution of popular TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, over alleged reckless and distracted driving following a road traffic crash.

The directive was issued by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, who said the Lagos State Sector Commander has been instructed to immediately activate all legal processes for Peller’s prosecution.

Recall NAN reported that Peller was rushed to hospital after crashing his car during an emotional and erratic live video following a reported breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis.

The FRSC said investigations showed that the influencer was live streaming while driving, an act described as unlawful and highly dangerous.

Mohammed stated that live streaming, content creation or any form of phone use while driving violates traffic regulations and endangers other road users.

He warned that fame or social media popularity does not place anyone above the law, adding that the FRSC will apply the full weight of the law against offenders.

The Corps Marshal urged celebrities and content creators to promote responsible conduct, noting that public roads are not studios or streaming platforms.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to road safety and encouraged Nigerians to report dangerous driving behaviours.
