Over 60 Stolen Cows Recovered as Police Eliminate Bandits in Kebbi

Armed mobile police squadron MBF 36 on Saturday repelled armed bandits attack on Zodi village under Zuru local government area of Kebbi state.

Police spokesperson in Kebbi state, CSP Nafiu Abubakar said that the bandits stormed Zodi village at night and rustled unspecified number of cattle and made away with them.

Following the attack, armed mobile police engaged them in a gun duel killing scores of them and wounding many.

He revealed that the Police overpowered them as a result they abandoned the cattle and ran into the bush with gun wounds and subsequently during search motorcycles were recovered and over sixty rustled cows.

However, the rustled livestock were handed over to the owners.

CP Bello .M. Sani who commended the forces for their gallantry pledged to sustain onslaught against bandits and other criminal elements in Kebbi state.
