Mothers, listen to your daughters. I can’t emphasise this enough. Make time to be with them, and always be intentional about creating memories together. They are not you. Allow them to be their own unique individuals. They are their own beings, separate from yourself. It’s incredibly important to bond with your girl. Let her know you will always be there for her, no matter what. Don’t create a relationship based on fear. Instead, build a friendship based on respect, where she feels comfortable talking to you about anything. Remember, a girl’s best friend should be her mother. Always affirm her, let her know she’s beautiful, both inside and out.
