Paul Parker Suggests A Replacement For Mount That Man Utd Could Have Signed

Former Manchester United man, Paul Parker, has identified former Leicester City midfielder James Maddison as the player the Red Devils should have signed instead of Mason Mount.

Recall that Man United signed Mount from Chelsea this summer.

However, Parker believes Mount is not the type of player Man United need but Maddison, who now plays for Tottenham.

“Manchester United should have spent the Mason Mount money on James Maddison,” Parker told online betting site bettors (via talkSPORT).

“I have never been too sure on Maddison because of his temperament and he picks up a lot of injuries.

“His performances so far suggest that Maddison would have been the right player to buy. I personally was not behind buying Mount. He is not what Manchester United needs.”

He continued, “Casemiro is missing someone next to him that can pass the ball. The ball is not being passed. It is being given away cheaply. You’ve got someone in Mount who runs around a lot and someone in Fernandes who is erratic and displays his frustration and throws his hands in the air rather than chase back.”
