Femi Fani- Kayode, a former minister of aviation has suggested that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State should leave the People’ s Democratic Party (PDP) because the party does not respect people from the South.
According to Naija Politics, Fani- Kayode made the recommendation in a post titled ” A Word For The Wike Group” that was published on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
Fani- Kayode expressed sympathy for Wike while at the same time encouraging him to join forces with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Speaking further, he emphasized that he quit the PDP after concluding that the party is unable to reward loyalty and keep its word, alleging that the party begins and ends in the North.
He further stated that the party does not believe in fairness, justice, and equity for all and in establishing bridges of peace, love, and understanding between the North and the South.
He claimed that the party’ s leaders and members were responsible for the insurgency, bloodshed, and mass murder that was taking place in the North West and parts of the North Central, most especially in Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, Nassarawa, and Katsina.
He also claimed that the party had humiliated its former president and candidate for president in the 2015 election, President Goodluck Jonathan, over the past seven years, and that they had not given him a place or a role in their Presidential Campaign Council.
