PDP Crisis: Wike’s Faction Sets Date for BoT and NEC Meetings
A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and led by factional National Chairman Mohammed Abdulrahman, has fixed Tuesday, November 18th, to hold its BoT and NEC meetings.
Naija News reports that the schedule for the Board of Trustees and National Executive Council meeting was disclosed in a notice by the factional National Secretary, Sam Anyawu.
According to the notice, the meetings would hold at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
“Attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed,” Anyawu stated.

Naija News recalls that another faction of the PDP loyal to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State held its national convention on Saturday.
The convention, presided over by the immediate past acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, announced the expulsion of Wike, former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, Samuel Anyanwu, and Dan Orbih, among others.
In a sweeping move, the State Working Committees in Abia, Imo, Akwa Ibom and Cross River were also dissolved.
The event was attended by Governors Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara) and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), along with other party leaders.
However, Governors Fintiri and Mutfwang have publicly distanced themselves from the expulsion exercise.
The removal of the FCT minister and his allies is seen as the latest escalation in the lingering power tussle between Wike and the PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
