People Had Hopes That Tinubu And Shettima Will Be Tossed Out, But It’s Not Going To Happen -Kogbara

A former BBC and Times of London journalist, Donu Kogbara has reacted towards the supreme court judgement made towards the PDP’s suit seeking to disqualify Tinubu and Shettima on the basis of double nomination.

The columnist who was on a programme on Arise News pointed out that it is now unfortunate to those people who had hoped that Tinubu and Shettima will be tossed out and not be sworn, after this recent judgement, stressing that it’s clearly not going to happen.

Donu Kogbara who made this statement stressed that the court judgment has now proven and shown that Bola Tinubu and Shettima will be sworn in, despite some of those who had hoped for months, weeks and days that such should not happen.

Speaking further, she said millions have Nigerians have probably come to the understanding that Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima will be the next president and vice president of Nigeria.

She said…”What happened today is very significant, because today was the day that millions of Nigerians realized that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to be sworn in as the president, for months and months, weeks and weeks, days and days, people have been literally on bended knee, saying, dear God, let this not happen, okay, so what happened is that we were told that it is going to happen for sure, and I think people have had a lot of hopes around Tinubu and Shettima being tossed out, and it’s clearly not going to happen”
