Deputy spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council in the 2023 general elections, Hannatu Musawa in an interview with Arise News, assured Nigerians that president Bola Tinubu is healthy enough to discharge his duties.
Speaking in the interview, the APC chieftain argued that though some persons were skeptical about the health status of the president, people still went ahead to vote for him in the general election.
She said during the electioneering campaign, people were also concerned about the health status of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi but, it does not mean that they were both having issues with their health.
She noted that Bola Tinubu was not only cleared by a panel before becoming the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, he was voted for by Nigerians who believed he is healthy enough to carry out the mandate he has been given.
She added that if Bola Tinubu was not fit enough to be president, there was no way she would’ve supported him in his quest of becoming president.
Hannatu Musawa said “There is a number of people who voted for Bola Tinubu knowing that there are rumours about his health. Those people that voted for him have confidence in the fact that he is able to carry this mandate through. You can be healthy today, you can be sick tomorrow, nobody has the monopoly of being healthy.
“One could have been skeptical about the health of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi as well but the fact that one has concerns about that doesn’t makes it a reality. Bola Tinubu was cleared by a panel, he was voted for by a number of Nigerians, he got the majority votes. That should give those that have concern the peace that, this man has the health status to carry out his mandate. There’s no way I would’ve supported Bola Tinubu if I didn’t think he was healthy enough.”
