Peter Obi’s ally exposes Okupe, says ex-campaign DG chaired LP policy draft

Oseloka Obaze, campaign manager of the Obi-Datti Organisation in 2023, has countered Doyin Okupe’s recent remarks dismissing Peter Obi’s “consumption to production” mantra as lacking a policy foundation.

In a post on X, Obaze criticized Okupe’s claims, calling them “balderdash,” and provided evidence to refute the statement.

Obaze expressed disappointment in Okupe, who had served as the Director-General of Obi’s campaign during the 2023 presidential election.

He noted that Okupe had played a direct role in finalizing the policy document that detailed Obi’s economic vision, which centres on transforming Nigeria’s economy from a consumption-driven model to a production-based one.

He added: “Perhaps, he [Okupe] has a touch of amnesia. Well, he should know. He is the Medical Doctor!” T

Okupe’s earlier comments, in which he labelled Obi’s campaign rhetoric as lacking depth and actionable plans, have sparked controversy and backlash from Obi’s supporters.
