“Peter Obi’s Camp Didn’t Quite Put Their Case Forward As They Should Have”

Godfrey Eshiemoghie, an Arise Legal Correspondent, claimed in an interview that Peter Obi’s camp, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, did not fully present their case.

Godfrey Eshiemoghie said, “We assessed the way the councils of both sides or all sides in the case have put forward their case. At some point, we said well that Peter Obi’s camp in particular, which was of course the most vocal during the campaign up until the presidential election, didn’t quite put their case forward as they should have.”

He continued, “At that point, we could assess where the case was going and how the judicial process could end. More like predicting what could likely be the end. Of course, we saw the way the President Tinubu’s camp marshaled their case, most likely where they argued their case and dismissed the 25% FCT votes and all that and the issue of forfeiture. They argued out their case very convincingly. We, as the judicial correspondence, said, Well, this is looking like we could easily assess where it was heading.”
