Atiku’s spokesperson, Daniel Bwala, emphasized that he has been a part of the APC for eight years and is proud to have played a part in President Tinubu’s achievements. He said that because those who were similar to him worked for President Tinubu, he is still in office today. Bwala drew attention to the fact that many of the people who are today in support of President Tinubu were not on his team when he worked for him in the APC.
During an interview with TVC, Bwala implied a certain level of continuity and loyalty from individuals like himself who have a history of supporting Tinubu.
According to him, “I have expressed my displeasure about a lot of activities of key leaders of the party, and some of them are trying to work with Tinubu in order to frustrate Atiku Abubakar, so that they will go back, take up the structure, and fight Tinubu, and they thought Tinubu is stupid, that he doesn’t know what their plans are. Now if they continue in that kind of situation and take over the management, certainly I won’t be there. Now as to whether there’s a prospect of me joining APC, I have been in APC for 8 years. One of my successes is the fact that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, today is the president because people like us worked for him. When I was working for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the APC, the majority of the people that are with him today are not with him. In fact, some of the key elements working with him today who come from the Southwest were in a different direction of somebody from the Southwest.”
