Presidential Election Tribunal Delivers Judgement On Obi, Atiku’s Petitions On Wednesday In FCT

The Presidential election Tribunal is set to deliver the lingering judgement on the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party on Wednesday, 6th of September, 2023 in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.

This comes months after the two opposition parties kicked against the February, 2023 presidential election which ushered in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressive Party, APC.

The petitions challenge the election of Tinubu as president of the country.

The petitioners alleged that there were widespread irregularities and malpractices in the election, which they said affected the outcome of the vote.

The tribunal is expected to issue its judgment on Wednesday, 6th of September, 2023.

The Tribunal in May this year had merged the petitions submitted by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

It also reserved judgment on the petitions.

The court had last week denied that it had fixed 16th of September, 2023 for the judgment.
