Despite the demolition of the state House of Assembly Complex on Wednesday, questions remain about the nature of the political crisis in Rivers State.
Channels Television stated that Governor Siminalayi Fubara gave the Edison Ehie-led committee at Government House the N800 billion 2024 budget estimates concurrently.
Edison Ehie, who was recognized by the court as the Speaker of the House, received the budget presentation, while the court restrained Martins Amaewhule from parading himself as the speaker.
However, while Senator Shehu Sani, who happens to be the former senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, was reacting to the development on his verified X handle, he said that despite the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the political crisis between Governor Fubara and his godfather, nothing has changed positively and everything is now in the hands of God.
He said, “Presidential intervention failed to bring peace to Rivers; everything is now left to God,Godfather and Godson.”
