Regina Daniels’ Family Sends Open Letter to Ned Nwoko, Offers to Return Bride Price

The kinsmen of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels have issued a public letter to her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, urging him to accept the return of her bride price and stop all alleged acts of intimidation toward her family.

This comes amid the marital dispute between Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko’s marital crisis

In a recent report Regina Daniels had called out Ned Nwoko, revealing that the senator had her elder siblings arrested for refusing to return back to him.

Equally, her mother had blasted the businessman, alleging that he had her son beat up by the the police whom he allegedly paid.

In a statement shared by filmmaker Stanley Ontop, Regina’s kinsmen stressed that marriage is not by force, emphasizing that according to tradition, once a woman chooses to leave, her family is expected to return the bride price, a step they claim to have already taken. However, Nwoko has reportedly refused to accept it, prolonging the marital dispute.

The group explained that when a man declines to collect the returned bride price, customary law allows the family to deposit it at a recognized location, which they said they are prepared to do if Nwoko continues to ignore their gesture.

They also condemned what they described as the arrest and intimidation of family members, calling such actions oppressive and unbefitting of a respected elder.

Wrapping up their message, Regina’s kinsmen gave Nwoko a 48-hour ultimatum to acknowledge and accept the bride price and to ensure the immediate release and safety of all affected relatives.
