Sixteen members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Speaker Martin Amaewhule leading the move.
The development was made public during plenary on Friday, where Amaewhule announced the lawmakers’ decision and attributed it to a “clear division” within the PDP.
