The Russian government has said that it won’t be extending congratulations to Donald Trump on his presidential election victory anytime soon.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made the disclosure on Wednesday.
Citing the “historically low” relationship between Russia and the United States, Peskov stated that Moscow views the U.S. as an “unfriendly country” due to its support of Ukraine in the ongoing conflict with the country.
Peskov noted that the situation is dire, saying, “It’s hard to imagine it getting any worse.” The Kremlin also accused the United States of being “directly and indirectly involved in a war against our state.”
