Security: I Scored My Husband 70 Percent; There Are No More Roadblocks – Aisha Buhari

Outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari, has revealed that her husband was not mentally prepared for the task ahead, saying she knows he really needs help.

The First Lady said she would unremittingly support her husbands and put the welfare of Nigerians first.

The president’s wife said she publicly criticizes decisions made “in the interest of one person, not the public.”

Aisha revealed this in an interview with The Sun on Saturday, when she spoke about her time as First Lady and her husband’s work in office. She said some decision-makers did not know that her husband was elected for the love of Nigerians. Aisha said, “So I told myself we couldn’t afford it; I just knew my husband needed help.”

“That’s why I’m here as First Lady and as a wife. I don’t like people who want to make money to damage the image of the family and the hard-earned name of my husband, and then we keep silent and look at the person.

“That’s why I usually go in and talk.”

However, Aisha said President Buhari has fulfilled half of his campaign promises.

She said uncertainty was significantly addressed under her husband’s leadership. The First Lady said, “Compared to what we met on the ground, he did great. But if you compare it to the passion when we came to power, my husband achieved 50 percent in all areas related to his campaign promises. Especially in works like road construction, bridges, and infrastructure in general. He does a lot.

She scored 70 percent for the president on security, noting that family members carried out most of the kidnappings for nefarious purposes.

“I think I scored my husband 70 percent safe. I say that because before there were many barricades, many roadblocks, and now there are no more roadblocks, nothing,” said Aisha.

“Even the kidnapping that is happening now is organized between family members. It is a deliberate thing, you know. And then there may be a riot or kidnapping of some local people. But if there is no reconciliation, then I can say that. ” We have reached 90 percent security.”
