Dr. Chukwuemeke Agbasi’s appointment as the Managing Director of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) was ratified by the Senate on Tuesday.
This came after the Senate Committee on FERMA’s report was approved on Tuesday in the Committee of the Whole.
Sen. Hussaini Uba, the committee chairman, presented the report and requested the Senate to take President Tinubu’s request for the nominee’s confirmation under section 2(1)(2) of the FERMA Act 2002 into consideration.
The Senate additionally approved the appointments of nine additional individuals to the FERMA Board of Directors.
Ibi Manasseh, Sen. Timothy Aduda, Babatunde Daramola, Preye Oseke, Aminu Papa, Abubakar Bappa, Shehu Mohammed, Yusuf Othmam, and Dr. Kenneth Ugbala were among those who were confirmed.
