SGF Boss Mustapha Speaks On The Military Plan To Avert Any Attempts To Stop Tinubu’s Inauguration

A few weeks ago, the DSS issued a warning after learning that a few lawmakers intended to erect an interim administration following President Muhammadu Buhari’s term expiration. The military and the IGP also issued a stern warning, stressing the importance of Bola Tinubu’s inauguration. Boss Mustapha, the secretary general of the Federation, has discussed the military strategy to foil any attempt to thwart Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29.

He reaffirmed that they firmly believe that agitators are preparing to obstruct the inauguration somewhere. The military, he informed Nigerians, is aware of the situation and will be on high alert at the inauguration ceremony. A peaceful and secure transfer of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he declared clearly, is part of the plan. He claims that the federal government is deliberately working to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.

“We are striving to make sure that nothing unpleasant happens,” he declared. Every procedure is being put in place. The security system is setting everything up. The military, in particular, has a well-thought-out plan to make sure that there is a smooth transfer of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to Bola Tinubu. We are aware that protesters will keep looking for flaws in the system, but I can assure you that security is ready to keep the president-elect and everyone else present at the ceremony safe. The game is at its best right now.
