Shehu Sani Reacts to Dino Melaye’s Declaration That He Won’t File a Legal Challenge to Ododo’s Win

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna lawmaker who served as the National Assembly’s representative for Kaduna Central, has responded to Senator Dino Melaye’s declaration that he will not contest Usman Ododo’s victory in the Kogi State governor’s race. In the Kogi State election, Melaye was the PDP’s candidate for governor.

According to PUNCH, Dino Melaye has stated that he will not dispute the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress in front of the state election petition tribunal. In addition, the article noted that the candidate for governorship of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who finished in third place in the election, claimed that the judiciary is no longer independent but rather a subsidiary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In response to Dino Melaye’s comments, Shehu Sani indicated that he agrees with Dino Melaye’s decision to indicate that he will not be going to court.

Shehu Sani wrote on his page, “I’m in support of Dino not to go to court; if he must, he should just go to that of Tennis”.
