Shehu Sani, a former congressman from Kaduna Central and a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has disclosed the answer a senator gave him when he inquired as to why he wasn’t endorsing Abdul Ningi.
Following the senator from Bauchi’s suspension by the Senate, he made this statement.
In a post that Shehu Sani shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, he said a senator told him that he is supporting Ningi in his heart and not by mouth. He said he asked another senator why he isn’t supporting Ningi and he told him that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Shehu Sani wrote on his page;
“One serving senator told me that he supports senator Ningi but in his heart and not by mouth because true love lies in the heart. I asked another Senator, a friend of mine, why is he not in support of Ningi and he replied that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak”.
