Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has broken his silence in a new video, passionately defending his right to his personal choices while revealing he’s facing death threats directed at his current wife, Natasha Osawaru Idibia.
The clip, which has rapidly gained traction on social media, shows 2Baba expressing frustration over ongoing family meddling in his relationships, drawing direct parallels to past issues with his estranged first wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
“Natasha is getting death threat. I will not stay silent anymore. I have a right to be with whoever I want to be with. I am not a child. My family also did this same thing with Annie,” he said.
This comes as the legendary music icon is facing marital issues with his new wife Natasha Idibia as series of viral videos shows all is not well with the marriage but the singer has urged everyone to be calm that he is fine and all is well.
During a livestream as reported by eelive.ng, hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze, 2Baba’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, publicly accused Natasha of applying “undue control” over his finances, career, and decisions—alleging she withholds his passport, transfers funds without consent, and influences him amid substance abuse concerns.
2Baba crashed the session to demand they stop airing his “private life,” but it ended in chaos with Natasha grabbing the phone amid shouts, including him asking, “What is your problem?” As the matter unfolds, netizens await what move comes up next, either from the singer or his family.
