SHOCKING!!! Hospital Worker Accused in Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Shooting — What We Know

Chaos erupted early Thursday morning when gunfire shattered the morning calm at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. A hospital employee was ambushed in the facility’s parking garage, triggering an immediate lockdown and sending shockwaves through the community.

The terrifying incident unfolded just after 7 a.m. on March 20 at the hospital on Dequindre Road. According to Troy Police, the alleged shooter, identified as hospital employee Robert Paljusevic, fired five rounds, hitting the victim twice before fleeing the scene.

The victim, a 25-year-old man from Troy, was rushed to the hospital’s emergency room, where he remains under medical care. Authorities have confirmed that he is expected to survive.

Investigators revealed that both the suspect and victim worked at the hospital, and initial findings suggest this was a targeted attack. As a precaution, the hospital was placed on lockdown, with nearby schools and daycare centers also initiating soft lockdowns until the suspect was located.

The manhunt led officers to a residence on Breezeway Drive in Macomb Township, where Paljusevic was taken into custody without resistance. However, authorities have yet to disclose a possible motive behind the attack.

As the investigation continues, police are urging anyone with additional details to contact the Troy Police Department at (248) 524-3477.
