A Nigerian woman has opened up about a tragic ordeal involving her sister’s unexpected mental health crisis just days after welcoming her newborn. She shared her distressing experience in a heartfelt video on TikTok, revealing how rapidly things changed.

The story began early one morning when their mother informed her that her sister, Loveth, was in labor. By midday, Loveth had successfully delivered her baby and returned home in good spirits, even managing to host visitors and attend to guests as if nothing was wrong.

But tranquility shattered later that evening. Around 5 p.m., Loveth went to the bathroom for a quick bath. Moments later, her sister’s family discovered her lying unconscious on the bathroom floor—completely naked, trembling, and convulsing.

Recalling the frightening scene, the sister said: “My mom called me around 9 a.m. saying Loveth was in labor. By 2 p.m., she was back with her baby, and everything seemed fine. Visitors came, and we thought the day was ending smoothly.”

“But then, in the evening, she went to the bathroom. Suddenly, my youngest sibling ran in shouting, ‘Mama, come! Loveth is not okay!’ We rushed in to find her on the floor, convulsing, her tongue out, biting it, unable to respond.”

“She briefly regained consciousness and asked what happened, but moments later, she started convulsing again. It was a terrifying sight.”

This emotional account has touched many online, prompting reactions filled with concern, prayers, and similar stories of postpartum struggles. The incident highlights the urgent need for awareness and support around mental health challenges following childbirth.
