Following his recent arrest by Nigeria’s police, popular artist Seun Kuti has resorted to social media to express his gratitude to those who have been advocating for his release.
You may remember that on May 15 the Lagos State Police department arrested and imprisoned the Afro beat music sensation Seun Kuti after a video of him slapping a police officer on the road surface surfaced online.
Seun Kuti was arrested and brought to court for trial, but his release from jail was urged by people like Nigerian campaigner Omoyele Sowore.
A short time after his release from prison, Seun Kuti took to his official Instagram story to express gratitude to people who had shown their support for him and his pals during his arrest and trial.
The singer couldn’t have made it through those times without his wife’s unconditional love and support.
