Some Of Us Are Yet To See Our Children Since March 14, We’ve Been Hiding In The Bush-According to Resident

According to a resident of Delta State’s Okuama Community, several military men have been hiding in the bush ever since the March 14 event that resulted in the deaths of sixteen of them.

The fugitive mother reportedly claimed that they had not seen their kids since the event, according to VANGUARD.

Speaking about the incident, she said the community was not the one that initiated the attack that led to the death of the military personnel. She said the the Army came to the community and they entertained them until they decided to take their leaders away. The woman said it was their insistence to take their leaders away that led to the shooting.

Vanguard quoted the woman as saying that;

“Some of us are yet to see our children since March 14. We have been hiding in the bush. Some dead bodies are there, therefore, we want the government to come and rescue us. The army came to meet us and we entertained them, it was after the peace talk they said they want to take our leaders away. It was their insistence to take away the community chairman, secretary, and other leaders that led to the shooting”.
