South East Gave Us Meager Votes, Yet, It Wants To Produce The Next Senate President-Kailani Muhammad

Kailani Muhammad, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his opinion on the upcoming leadership race for the Senate President position in Nigeria’s 10th National Assembly.

He emphasized that the Southeast region should not be considered for the position because they did not vote for Asiwaju, referring to Bola Tinubu, a prominent figure in the APC. Kailani’s remarks were made in an interview with the Guardian Newspaper.

Highlighting the need for the Southeast region to build bridges and establish stronger connections, Kailani suggested that they should not be actively pursuing the Senate President position. He pointed out that the region provided only a small number of votes for Tinubu and questioned the appropriateness of their aspiration.

As the National Chairman of the Tinubu Support Network and the Director-General of Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Kailani stated, “South East gave us meager votes, yet, it wants to produce the next Senate President.
