SOUTH UPND MPs ARE SUFFERING FROM OPPOSITION SYNDROME, THEY FAILING TO DELIVER DEVELOPMENT
St Mary’s Church Parish Priest Father Athanasius Mtefura in Choma district says ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) Members of Parliament in the province are suffering from an opposition syndrome and are failing to deliver development.
Fr Mtefura tells Byta FM News that the lawmakers are still in disbelief that they are now in power and are yet to begin coordinating development in their respective constituencies.
The Clergy Man says President Hakainde Hichilema has provided good vehicles for development such as the increased Constituency Development Fund – CDF, which elected officials should have taken advantage of to spread development.
Mtefura wonders why UPND Lawmakers have an excuse for not delivering development when opposition MPs such as Sunday Chilufya Chanda is busy changing the face of his constituency using CDF.
He nonetheless says that it is not too late for the Members of Parliament to implement development agenda the President is initiating.
