Sowore Reacts After Ondo Assembly Reports That Tinubu Told the Deputy Governor to Write a Letter of Resignation

In response to the Ondo State House of Assembly’s recent claim that President Tinubu asked Ondo State deputy governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to write a resignation letter, well-known Nigerian human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, responded.

Bola Tinubu’s “undemocratic, scurrilous and scandalous intervention in the affairs of Ondo State” will not be tolerated by the people of Ondo State, and consequently, by Nigerians, Mr. Omoyele Sowore declared while reacting.

He went on and made it known that President Tinubu is using Ondo State as “socio-political experiment” that is bound to consume him too, if he does not back down.

Mr Omoyele Sowore made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Wednesday morning, while reacting to the recent claim that was made by the Ondo State House of Assembly. He went further and demanded that Gov Akeredolu must resign from that office as the Ondo State governor.

He wrote: “The people of Ondo State and by extension, Nigerians rejects @officialABAT undemocratic scurrilous and scandalous intervention in the affairs of Ondo State. Tinubu is using Ondo State as some socio-political experiment that’s bound to consume him too if he doesn’t ban up now. #AkeredoluMustResignNow.”

It should be recalled that it was reported today that the Ondo State House of Assembly, called on the embattled state deputy governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to comply with the resolution reached with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and write his resignation letter.
