Super Eagles Can Challenge For Title At AFCON 2023 — Osimhen

Victor Osimhen confidently announced that the Super Eagles are fully prepared to dominate the rest of Africa once more.

Osimhen and his fellow teammates have set their sights on clinching a fourth championship as the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Cote d’Ivoire next month.

In Group A, the Super Eagles will be facing off against the hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.

After experiencing a disappointing elimination in the Round of 16 during the previous tournament in Cameroon, the talented Napoli striker firmly believes that the West African team has what it takes to contend for the coveted title this time around.

“We are ready and preparing very well,” Osimhen told CAF Media.

“The squad is in high spirits. We are raring to go and hope that we shall do well there.”

Jose Peseiro’s side will face Equatorial Guinea in their opening fixture at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on January 14, 2024.
