Support Tinubu, Wait Till 2027, Bishop Katung Tells Atiku, Obi

Bishop Jonas Katung, the founder and general overseer of Living Stone Church Assembly, has urged Christians in Northern Nigeria and other Nigerians to rally behind President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He suggested that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, should allow Tinubu to assume leadership in Nigeria for the next four years.

Bishop Katung expressed his conviction that Tinubu, with his extensive experience in politics and economics, has the potential to provide the right guidance for the Nigerian people.

During a press interview in Jos, Bishop Katung emphasized that northern bishops had previously engaged with Tinubu in Abuja during the intense political campaigns of the 2023 general elections.

He recalled that Tinubu responded earnestly to their inquiries about the challenges faced by Christians and outlined his proposed solutions as president. The bishops were impressed by Tinubu’s answers and expressed confidence and hope in his ability to be a receptive and capable president.

Bishop Katung further pointed out that during Tinubu’s eight-year tenure as the governor of Lagos State, he demonstrated his inclusive leadership style by appointing individuals from diverse backgrounds and faiths to his cabinet.

The bishop believed that Tinubu’s future accomplishments as president would surpass those of previous leaders, considering his track record and his commitment to providing Nigerians with a sense of belonging.

He described Tinubu as a generous individual who would quickly foster unity and inclusivity once he assumed power.
