The Itsekiri Group applauds Tinubu for appointing Ogbe to the position of NCDMB Executive Secretary

The Itsekiri Progressive Political Forum has commended President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

Vanguard saw this selection as a blatant example of the administration’s dedication to the principle that people ought to be assigned to jobs that best suit their qualifications.

Professor Lucky Akaruese, the coordinator of the group and a prominent member of the APC in Delta State, expressed his admiration for Ogbe, highlighting his extensive knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industries.

Having held management positions in a renowned international oil company before retirement, Ogbe is considered the ideal candidate to lead the NCDMB.

The group believes that Ogbe’s expertise and diverse background will enable him to successfully achieve the board’s objectives, particularly in terms of promoting the growth of Nigerian content in the oil and gas industries.

Furthermore, they anticipate that Ogbe will elevate the NCDMB to international recognition, positioning Nigeria to achieve technological and administrative self-sufficiency in all aspects of the oil and gas sector.

They also commended President Tinubu for recognizing the importance of the Itsekiri ethnic nation in the oil and gas industry. They expressed hope that Ogbe’s appointment marks the beginning of rectifying past instances where Itsekiri individuals were overlooked for federal appointments.
