Dr Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain Of Fire And Miracle Ministries spoke to his members on, “Connecting To Pentecostal Power” at their Wednesday Manna Water Service.
He read the book of 24:49 (KJV) which says, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” and said that but in the Old Testament, the demonstration of this power was only kept for the prophets, not everybody. But now we are given a key to connect to power from on high. That is why Jesus told those people, “Have you not read in your law that I say, “Ye are gods’?” That is what He was trying to explain, but they did not understand.
He further said that a level of power is needed to deliver you who are gold incarcerated in the dustbin. There are at least 1,000 women listening to me now. They are human goldmines. The way God made them, they are goldmines. If they sell mud, the mud will move. Anything they lay their hands upon, moves. But then, when the person is a goldmine captured inside a dung hill in the dustbin, in a cage there, everything that the person can perform is finished there. A particular power is needed to break through. This is where the power of Pentecost comes in.
He then said that the sign of Christianity is not the cross, Jesus left that cross a long time ago. He said, “Somebody has said, “The sign of Christianity is not the cross. The sign of Christianity is tongues of fire”. If you say the sign of Christianity is the cross, Jesus left that cross a long time ago. So it is the tongues of fire.” This implies that the sign of Christianity is the tongues of fire.
