In light of the recent dispute with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Emeka Beke, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, voiced his displeasure with the 27 PDP lawmakers who defected to the APC. He said that the lawmakers will surely upend the political system that Rivers State has built over the years. He stressed that he was not aware that 27 lawmakers supported the APC in Rivers State.
He stated in an interview with Arise TV, ”Well, you know where they are coming. If they are coming to the party, they are definitely coming to scatter the house we have built over the year.
Furthermore, These are the same character that destroyed the party when the party was formed. These same characters are the people who attacked Muhammadu Buhari when he was coming for commissioning. You remember that these same characters are those who locked up the International Airport for Tinubu and Buhari not to arrive in Rivers State. We will not accept that.”
