“They tied my nose and eyes, hit me with all kinds of objects, and asked me to say my last prayers.”

Comrade Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, has disclosed that prior to being attacked with many objects in Imo state, he was blindfolded and had his nose tied. ARISE NEWS published this message on Twitter on Friday.

Ajaero was organizing state employees for a protest against unpaid salaries when the tragedy happened. The assailants allegedly went further to blindfold him, tie his nose, and assault him with various objects while instructing him to say his last prayer.
