Though We All Know The Outcome Of The Elections, Buhari Thank Obi, And Atiku For Going To Court

According to PunchNews, President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his admiration for presidential candidates who have taken legal action following their defeat in the last presidential election.

However, In his statements, he mocks them by saying we all know the outcome of the election I want to thank the candidate who goes to court and trusts the judiciary.

We commended her determination and perseverance in seeking justice through the justice system.

The commendation came as part of his national broadcast on Sunday.

Buhari particularly appreciated the tenacity of the presidential candidates who went to court to challenge the election results.

He commended her unwavering belief in Nigeria’s justice system, despite the challenges and criticism it has faced in the past.

It is important to note that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labor Party (LP)’s Peter Obi both lost the presidential elections to President-elect Bola Tinubu based on the INEC declaration.

Instead of admitting defeat, however, they chose to challenge the election result in court.

Buhari’s praise for the presidential candidates who went to court after their election defeat is a testament to his belief in the rule of law and the importance of the judicial system in upholding justice and fairness.

After their defeat, Atiku and Obi went to the Presidential Appeals Court to contest the results of the election.

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a PDP lawsuit aimed at stopping Tinubu’s May 29 inauguration over a dual nomination, but the court is yet to talk on Obi petitions.

Buhari claimed the most hotly contested election was the recent one.
