Buhari Is Nigeria’s Worst Leader—Clark

Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he is the worst leader Nigeria has ever had, accusing him of failing to see the entire country as his constituency.

The Leader of Southern and Middle Belt Leadership Forum (SMBLF), also accused Buhari of marginalising, humiliating the people of the Niger Delta as that region are really disappointed at the outgoing President.

Addressing Journalists on Sunday at his Asokoro Residence during a farewell press conference to Buhari, Clark said that the outgoing President violated his vow that he made to Nigerians during his inauguration in 2015 where hehad pledged to be fair to all parts of the country.

The wife of the President-elect, Oluremi Tinubu has assured Nigerians that her family does not need the wealth of the nation to survive as God has blessed them.

She made this known during the interdenominational church service that was held on Sunday in Abuja at the National Christian Centre.

The president-elect’s wife added that the wealth of the nation belongs to all and that they would use it for the right thing.

She urged Nigerians to pray for them as they would need the grace of God to live up to the expectation of Nigerians.

May 29 inauguration: Tinubu Igbo man, should look towards Southeast – Ohanaeze

A chieftain of Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, has described the President-elect, Bola Tinubu as an Igbo man.

To this end, Isiguzoro urged Tinubu to carry the Igbos along when he assumes office on May 29.

He was reacting to the Supreme Court ruling that dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, suit to disqualify Tinubu ahead of his inauguration.

The Secretary-General of Ohanaeze urged Tinubu to see Nigeria as his constituency now.

Speaking with DAILY POST, Isiguzoro said: “We accept the verdict as the will of God that come May 29, Tinubu, alongside his deputy, will be sworn in and take over the mantle of leadership from Buhari.

10th Assembly: S’South APC women professionals back Akpabio for Senate Presidency

Women professionals in the ruling All Progressives Congress APC from the South South geo-political zone have thrown their weight behind the nomination of the former governor of the Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio for the position of the President of the 10th Senate.

Coordinator of the South South Women Professionals and former candidate of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Nsit Atai Constituency, Hon. Blessing Ossom said Akpabio’s Senate Presidency would achieve the 35% Affirmative Action for women.

In the statement issued Sunday in Abuja, the women said; “We as mothers from the six States of the South South geo-political zone of the All Progressives Congress hereby align ourselves with the decision of the National leadership of our Party, wherein our national leaders released a statement, zoning the Senate Presidency of the 10th Senate to the South South geo-political zone, and nominating Senator Akpabio for the position. We thank our leaders for standing on the side of truth, fairness, and justice”.
