I Am The Most Sued Minister – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says he is the most sued minister in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Minister stated this in Abuja at a send-forth dinner organised in his honour by his ministry and its parastatals as the Buhari administration comes to an end in days.

Speaking at the event, the minister said, excluding the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, who is represented or joined in cases against the Federal Government, he is the most sued minister. He said not less than 37 cases were filed against him and his office in the course of discharging his duties speaking for the government, defending its policies and programmes as well as being the cultural ambassador of the nation.

Buhari A Failure In Eight Years, History Will Judge Him – Bode George

Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years as a failure. George said Buhari did not live up to the expectations of Nigerians in the last eight years.

Addressing journalists in Lagos on Saturday, the PDP chieftain said history will judge Buhari’s government because it failed to impact Nigerians positively. He lamented that Buhari failed to ensure the security of Nigerians. He berated Buhari for failing to deliver on his electoral promises of fighting corruption among other things.

According to George: “I assess that he failed, not completely in every sector, but if you do an examination and say you must have a minimum of 33%, then you can go to the next class, but they did not attain that 33%”.

Suspected Phone Snatchers Kill Six In Kano

Thugs suspected to be phone snatches have attacked residents in the Kabara and Gwangwazo areas of Kano Municipal Local Government Area and killed about six persons. The incident, a source told DAILY POST, led to tension among residents in the early hours of Friday.

The source explained that the thugs invaded the two communities, stabbing people. He further explained that some of the people killed were returning from morning prayers and were attacked.

Ogun NNPP Inaugurates Caretaker Committee Members

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has inaugurated members of the caretaker committee of the party in Ogun state.

The party made this disclosure in a letter addressed to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.

The letter was signed by the Chairman of the Interim Caretaker Committee of the party in the state, Prince Ibrahim Adekunle.
