I Knew My Husband Needed Help – Aisha Buhari

Aisha Buhari, the wife of outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that his husband was not mentally prepared for the task ahead of him, saying that she was aware that he needed help.

The First Lady said she was relentless in her support for her husband and prioritised the welfare of Nigerians.

The president’s wife said she openly criticised decisions that were “taken for the interest of one person and not for the general public’s interests”.

Buhari, Kenyatta Urge Tinubu To Unite Nigerians

Outgoing President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and former Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, on Saturday, urged the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to work towards uniting Nigerians irrespective of ethnic and political affiliation. Both leaders gave the charge during the Inauguration Lecture at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

This was contained in the statement issued on Saturday by Tinubu’s media officer, Tunde Rahman. The appeal is coming barely 48 hours before the swearing ceremony of the President-elect and his Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima, at the popular Eagle Square in Abuja.

Outgoing Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola said President Muhammadu Buhari is leaving the administration of the country better than he met it in 2015. Fashola stated this in an interview with Channels Television,s Politics Today on Friday.

According to the Minister, the Buhari administration fulfilled the 2015 mantra of change. Assessing the Buhari administration, Fashola said the road infrastructure projects executed by the outgoing government have reduced the hours Nigerians spent travelling on roads.

Lalong Appoints New Head Of Service, Less Than 48 Hours To Handover

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has approved the appointment of Barr. Mrs Rauta Joshua Dakok is the new Head of Service, Plateau State.

The development is coming less than 48 hours before the inauguration of the governor-elect of the state, Barrister Caleb Mutfuwang.

Mutfuwang was declared the winner on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
