He was officially sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th president on Monday at Eagle Square in Abuja. “My victory does not render me more Nigerian than the rest of you. Tinubu, Nigeria Needs Competent Finance, Foreign Affairs Ministers

Congratulations to President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on assuming the leadership of Nigeria. As the new administration begins its journey, it is crucial to recognize the significance of appointing credible cabinet ministers, particularly for the crucial portfolios of foreign affairs and finance.

These appointments hold the key to positioning Nigeria’s economy for growth and projecting a positive image of our nation on the global stage. It is in this spirit that I offer this advice, urging the president and vice president to prioritize competence and credibility in the selection of these essential ministers.

Nigeria’s economy stands at a critical juncture, requiring prudent economic policies, robust investment strategies, and international collaborations to drive sustainable growth. To accomplish these goals, the appointments of credible ministers of finance and foreign affairs are pivotal.

The minister of finance, in particular, must possess a profound understanding of economic principles and a proven track record of sound financial management both at the national and international levels, respectively. He should be capable of steering Nigeria towards fiscal discipline, promoting transparency, and attracting foreign direct investment.

Bode George Laments Leaders’ Failure Tackle Nigeria’s Challenges

A former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has urged Nigerians to pray for the success of the country and its new leadership.

He told journalists in his office in Ikoyi, Lagos, that it is only by prayers that the country can overcome its current challenges. George said if Nigerians can excel in other countries, nothing is preventing them from doing well in their country if an enabling environment is created.

He lamented that instead of the nation’s leaders addressing the challenges facing the country they were setting the citizens against one another. “The problems I am talking about were inflicted on ourselves. I hope those who can handle it and put a smile on our faces will run this country.
